Launch of ‘Becoming a Climate Resilient SME’, the new e-learning course hosted at the ITC SME Trade Academy

ICS’ partner, the ITC (International Trade Centre), within the scope of its GreenToCompete Initiatve, is launching an e-learning course on 28 June: Becoming a Climate Resilient SME hosted on the ITC SME Trade Academy.

This course introduces the Climate Expert Approach, developed by GIZ and implemented by ITC, which guides small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to develop their own climate resilience strategy.

The course is for free and accessible for any SME and the experts that work with them.

Who is it for? The course is for SMEs and experts working with them.

When? Starting on June 28, and it lasts for 2 weeks

What is unique about this course? The course features GIZ Climate Expert Approach, which ITC’s GreenToCompete Initiative implemented in different developing countries.

What to expect after completing the course:

  • Provide logical and concise arguments in favour of taking action to address climate change;
  • Evaluate the different impacts of climate change on your company and identify adequate climate adaptation measures to respond to these impacts;
  • Calculate the business case of different measures and decide how they should be integrated into your company’s climate resilience strategy and associated communication plan;
  • Identify adequate sources of green finance to fund the implementation of climate adaptation measures.
