ICS continues partnership with ITC on resource efficiency and circular production in the Moroccan textile sector

The International Trade Centre (ITC) had partnered with ICS, representing a number of European textile retailers, on resource efficiency and circular production in the Moroccan textile value chain. The project is included in a larger scope of the GTEX/MENATEX program which aims at promoting textile and clothing exports from developing countries to stimulate employment and income generation along the value chain.

This particular part of the project aims to help factories improve their social and environmental sustainability and development. To achieve this, the ITC had organized a workshop on raising awareness on resource efficiencies and circular production on September 26th in Casablanca, Morocco. The companies would learn about the impact their production has on the environment and how to identify more efficient use of resources.

During this time, ICS also had the opportunity to visit several factories sourcing for its members.
